My Love for Turmeric

There are so many health benefits to adding organic turmeric to your lifestyle.

 

Turmeric has been used in India for thousands of years as a spice and medicinal herb. It has powerful anti-inflammatory effects and is a very strong antioxidant.

 

Here are just a few benefits of this nutrient powerhouse:

  • helps fight inflammation

  • may curb joint pain

  • can calm an upset stomach

  • protects the brain and can improve memory

  • can improve your mood

 

I am currently obsessed with this superfood and love finding new ways to sneak it into my diet. Here are a few ways I personally enjoy turmeric:

  • blend in shakes/smoothies/juices

  • sprinkle on top of avocado toast

  • add into guacamole

  • add to scrambled eggs/omelettes

  • use it in soups

  • toss it in salad or on top of roasted veggies

  • mix into salad dressing

  • make it into a hot or iced tea
