Race Review: The San Fransico Giant Race

This year's San Francisco Giant Race was a little different than years past - they went virtual due to Covid-19. I am usually out in SF for work this time of year, and was so looking forward to running this race in person for my 3rd year in a row.

What I look forward to the most with this race is the scenic course along the water and the finish inside Oracle Park - on the field! The weather is also pretty spectacular - the past 2 years have been nice and cool, perfect race weather.

My first time running this 10K was in 2018, and I ran a PR which still holds to this day! Last year, I ran the 10K at 28 weeks pregnant and felt incredible! It was one of my last races before I switched to walking.

This year, despite having to go virtual, they still managed to put on a great race! The motivation and constant communication was amazing. I definitely needed that extra push. I ended up doing over 16 miles walking and running that weekend!

The SF Giant Race medals and swag kit also never fails to disappoint. I can't wait to get mine! I mean, how cute is Lou Seal?!
